Annual Inspections

The CPAC Factory Service Center Annual

The following is a summary of what’s included in an annual inspection by CPAC Factory Service Center, Inc. (Note: annual inspection will include all items required by the applicable Commander Service Manual, whether or not listed below.) Maintenance required by discrepancies found during inspection performed at additional charge.

  • Complete documentation and log book review by independent IA (FAA certificated). Check history for discrepancies. Check for compliance with Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives. Check for current transponder/pitot static test log entry. Check for ELT log entry.

  • Test flight by CPAC pilot to evaluate all aircraft systems, including avionics. (Assumes aircraft delivered in “airworthy” condition and legal to fly.) Written evaluation provided by pilot to Factory Service Center before Annual Inspection. Owner consulted regarding any discrepancies noted.

  • Engine run-up to heat oil before oil removal and HOT compression check.

  • ELT battery check.

  • Aircraft placed on jacks and leveled.

    • Engine controls and settings inspected.

    • Rear seats and bulkhead removed.

    • Rigging checked for tuning.

    • Wheels disassembled/bearings inspected, repacked and reinstalled.

    • All rigging checked for wear.

    • Brakes and struts inspected and serviced.

    • Gear Check – witnessed by independent IA.

    • Battery, engine oil, and fuel system serviced.

    • Spark plugs checked, cleaned, and reinstalled.

    • All inspection ports opened; inspection of all designated areas.

  • Post-maintenance test flight by CPAC pilot. CPAC pilot evaluates all work performed and all aircraft systems and avionics BEFORE your first post-maintenance flight.

  • Review and sign back into service by independent IA.

With a CPAC Factory Service Center Annual Inspection, you’ll know that your Commander has been signed off by the Factory Service Center, signed back into service by an independent IA, and test flown with all systems and avionics evaluated by a CPAC test pilot before being returned to you for your first post-maintenance flight.  How much is that worth to you?
